A visual revolution in the world of design and marketing

Adobe has released its latest version, Photoshop 2026, which continues the rapid development of artificial intelligence features. The new version brings not only small improvements, but also a number of completely new tools that make creating visual content faster, more accurate, and more creative than ever before.

While previous updates brought us Generative Fill and automatic background removal, now the workflow is being enhanced with completely new AI-powered capabilities: Generative Fill 2.0, Harmonize, Generative Upscale, and an improved removal tool.

Generative Filling 2.0 – Image changes with text command

The new Generative Fill has become smarter and more accurate. While previously the AI often had to correct details, now the result can be achieved with a single command.

The system uses updated models like the Gemini 2.5 Nano Banana and Flux Context Pro, which understand context better – meaning added or changed elements fit the photo more naturally.

Where to use it:

  • E-commerce: Changing product colors or details without having to organize a new photo shoot.

  • Marketing: For A/B testing, you can quickly create multiple versions of a single promotional photo by changing the background, clothing, or props with just the text.

Harmonize – one-click light and color matching

The new Harmonize tool addresses a problem designers have long known: added objects or people not matching the lighting or tone in the rest of the image.

Harmonize automatically analyzes the background image and adjusts the added element with light, color, and shadows to make everything look natural.

Example: When you add a new person, product, or other element to a photo, the tool will match its light to the background – no more manually fiddling with shadows or contrast.

Generative Upscale – reviving low-quality images

Photoshop 2026 introduces a new Generative Upscale feature that combines Topaz Gigapixel and Topaz Bloom technologies.

This feature is especially useful when you're working with old or low-resolution photos - AI can make them clear and sharp, adding new details if necessary.

Topaz Gigapixel increases resolution and restores lost sharpness.

Topaz Bloom adds creative elements: texture, shadows, and light reflections, making the image more detailed and visually interesting.

Updates to existing tools

In addition to a large package of AI innovations, Adobe has also improved several everyday tools that make work smoother:

  1. Improved selection tools – “Select Subject” and “Remove Background” identify complex contours much more accurately.

  2. Non-destructive tonal adjustment – new “Temperature” and “Tone” sliders allow you to quickly and flexibly adjust color tone without affecting the file.

These innovations may not have as catchy a name as “Generative Fill,” but for designers they mean real time savings and better quality.

Photoshop 2026 won't change design work overnight, but it brings several improvements that increase work speed and simplify the creative process.

Most importantly, AI tools become more user-friendly with each version – they are aids, not replacements.

If you regularly use Photoshop for marketing, e-commerce, or visual content creation, the 2026 version is definitely worth an upgrade.
